Most tourists fly into Montego Bay, which is closer to popular resort areas like Negril and Ocho Rios. This is where we flew into when visiting Jamaica, traveling with the travel agent TUI, which has many package holidays and vacation options on the island.
Jamaica is also a popular stop on Caribbean cruise itineraries, with ships docking in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Falmouth. Whichever way you choose to arrive, the moment you step onto Jamaican soil, you’ll be greeted by warm breezes and the unmistakable scent of the sea.
Best Time To Visit
The best time to visit Jamaica is between November and mid-December when the weather is warm and dry, but the crowds are smaller compared to the peak season. This is also when prices are lower, making it a great time to take advantage of deals if you’re looking to save money on your trip.
Peak tourist season in Jamaica runs from mid-December to April, attracting travelers looking to escape colder climates. While this is the busiest time, it’s also when the island experiences its most pleasant weather.
To avoid the crowds, consider traveling during the shoulder seasons of May or October. However, keep in mind that the hurricane season runs from June to November, so plan accordingly.
